HEDGEHOG STORIES: PETRA AND PETE
Petra and Pete are two tiny hoglets that were found a couple of days apart by the same person, wandering around Le Monnaie Road in St Andrews.
Petra, the female hoglet, weighed only 114 grams whilst Pete, the male hoglet, weighed just 112 grams.
Fortunately the gentleman who found them knew that they were too small to survive on their own in the wild and brought them to the centre.
They have both settled in well at the centre and will be rehabilitated back into the wild when they are big enough.
(written July 2006)
