HEDGEHOG STORIES: MUFFIN
Muffin was found in Capelles on 29th May 2005. He weighed 590g and had mange, a chest infection and was dehydrated.

Muffin was given medication to kill the mange mites and antibiotics for his chest infection. Then he was given a bath in a special shampoo to help remove the crusty mange growth on his body. After being dried Muffin was put into his cage where food and water were available. To keep him warm a heat pad was placed under his bedding.

After a few days Muffin began to recover from his ailments and now much of the crust has fallen away, his fur is growing back and he is happily eating all his food. His weight on 1st July was 845g. He is nearly ready to be returned to the wild close to where he was found.
