George is a juvenile male hedgehog that was brought into the centre on 3rd November 2005. He was found out in the daytime (a sign that a hedgehog is unwell). He weighed 298 grams and was suffering from Mange. We treated his Mange and wormed him. By 18th November the Mange had cleared.
George now ways 580 grams (too little to release into the wild as hedgehogs need to weigh 750 grams to survive hibernation).
George will remain at the centre until the spring when he will then have gained enough weight to be released back into the wild.
